In an unusual formation combining soprano voice, flute, cello, and a Deaf soloist, ensemble in transition creates music performances that are accessible to Deaf and hearing audiences alike. The four artists challenge social boundaries and, through transmedia dialogue, open up new artistic spaces.
\nFounded in Frankfurt am Main in 2021 by flutist D\u00e9sir\u00e9e Hall, the ensemble works at the intersection of contemporary music, performance, and experimental music theatre. Together, the artists explore, play with, and reinterpret aesthetic language and aesthetic movement. Movement follows music \u2014 and music, in turn, follows movement.
\nWith its research-based, interdisciplinary, and inclusive approach, the ensemble situates its work between performative practice, social discourse, and the Aesthetics of Access.<\/p>\n
