Rental Inquiry

The two halls of Frankfurt LAB are primarily used by its partner institutions and are therefore usually booked well in advance. But exceptions confirm the rule: We look forward to receiving your inquiry.

The front-of-house (foyer with restrooms) and terrace can be rented — if operations permit — separately from the two halls for smaller events of up to 60 people.

Guest Performance & Concert Inquiries

The artistic program of Frankfurt LAB is organized and curated by its partner institutions Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, Ensemble Modern, Hessische Theaterakademie, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt and Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm. The Frankfurt LAB – apart from collaborations with a partner institution – does not itself invite guest performances.

Students of HfMDK and HTA

Students at the HfMDK and those enrolled in programs affiliated with the Hessian Theatre Academy (HTA) can request time slots at the Frankfurt LAB, which are awarded twice a year (usually in December and June). Please check with your study program coordinators for details. Between booking periods, the Frankfurt LAB maintains a waiting list for HfMDK and HTA students in case time slots become available. Use by the Independent Theater Scene

The Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm collaborates with independent theater companies and sometimes presents their productions at the Frankfurt LAB. Inquiries regarding collaboration can be sent directly to dramaturgie@mousonturm.de.

Alumni of the Hessian Theatre Academy may apply for free times at the Frankfurt LAB —primarily in Hall 1. Since requests from partner institutions are given priority, confirmation is often only provided on short notice. Costs for the technical set-up, for technicians familiar with the Frankfurt LAB, must be covered by the company. Please direct inquiries to Philipp Schulte: schulte@hessische-theaterakademie.de.
