What actually is considered professional? Who decides which work is valuable and who is considered competent?
Who even gets a say in the matter?

The NoProCollective doesn’t have definitive answers to these questions either; instead, as a student project, it continually reexamines them from different perspectives through collaborative work processes with partners. Following an initial research phase that included a workshop at the Frankfurt LAB, a second, week-long working phase is now taking place. NOPROinMOTION invites the audience to experience the results of this period in an open rehearsal. The presentation will not be a finished piece but rather a work-in-progress.

The starting point for this is the personal experiences of the performers and their collaborators from Korea, Poland, and Germany. On stage, stereotypes, national representation, failure, improvisation, and collaboration come together. Professionalism here does not appear as a fixed trait that is either celebrated or rejected. Instead it is constantly redefined, reevaluated, and transformed.
In this process spaces are created where uncertainty, mistakes and differing experiences do not have to be hidden – in order to reflect on the dynamics of collaboration and grow this way.
What possibilities for living together and learning lie in such spaces?

To explore this beyond the stage the event moves to a shared space. Here, attendees are invited to socialize, enjoy a meal together and wind down in a relaxed atmosphere – including the opportunity to use the Korean karaoke booths at “Singvogel” next door.
