When urban dance meets ballet, contemporary collides with breakdance, and hip-hop goes head-to-head with pointe work, the Frankfurt LAB transforms into a sizzling dance floor: “Floor on Fire” brings together a wide variety of dance styles and transforms the evening into an energetic battle brimming with creativity, virtuosity, and surprising encounters.

Dancers from the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, the urban dancers of The Saxonz, and artists from the independent scene initially compete in their own styles—but the competition quickly evolves into something entirely new: spontaneously formed mixed teams take over the dance floor together and show what happens when the boundaries between genres blur.

With breathtaking moves, improvised collaboration, and the dancers’ unmistakable energy, “Floor on Fire” thrives on individuality, courage, and boundless creativity. A jury—together with the audience—will ultimately decide on the best team.
