Dynamic spins and weightless gliding: The Wheelie Show celebrates the infinite potential of movement on wheels and rollers. Here three roller dancers and three wheelchair dancers conquer the stage. What happens when they meet on their respective rollers? What do they have in common beyond the wheels on their wheelchairs and their roller skates?

With “The Wheelie Show” Eng Kai Er, a graduate of the master’s course in Choreography and Performance in Gießen, returns to the Rhein-Main region and continues her research into the utopian potential of popular forms of movement and expression. Together with her five fellow dancers Eng Kai Er doesn’t just create remarkable and thrilling duos. The six dancers also travel together through political landscapes and circle around social norms. Here the wheels start rolling, the speed increases, and efficiency is left behind: “The Wheelie Show” presents solidarity on wheels and places the emphasis on creativity, fellowship and the pleasure of movement at all speeds.
