Fatima Meroueh (Lebanon)
Fatima Meroueh is a performer, writer, and cultural activist based in Beirut, Lebanon. She is the Co-founder of the theater cooperative in Beirut. Her work often speaks through personal memory merged with dominant social and political contexts. She uses theatre as a way to reimagine inherited collective narratives.
Her recent theatre works include “A Collapsed Performance for a Collapsed Society”, directed by Hashem Adnan; “Pinocchio”, a collective performance directed by Omar Abi Azar; “40 Stones from the Rubble of the Suburb”, with Hashem Hashem, directed by Petra Serhal; and “My Mother’s Tongue”, directed by Omar Abi Azar.
