You are at a casting for a shared flat and you know: They won’t take you. Something is off. The mood is changing. Maybe you shouldn’t have said the last thing? Now they are thinking that you are weird. Nod, smile, keep you mouth shut – is it that difficult? Then again: Did you really say something terrible? Maybe they don’t like you for completely different reasons. Maybe you are just imagining things. You’ll never know.

This is reasonable: tolerance needs to be intolerant towards intolerance. That sounds reasonable. Who decides, what’s intolerant? And how to treat those, whom one considers intolerant.

The mechanisms of beloning are brutal. Always.
