Juan Urbina
Juan Urbina is a queer dancer, choreographer, researcher and educator whose work reflects a fusion of South American heritage, contemporary movement, and social engagement. Through performances, workshops, and community-centered projects, Juan Urbina explores identity, care, and transformation themes, creating spaces for diverse, multigenerational and multicultural dance dialogue.
Research Project:
The artistic research project “Emotionally Productive Bodies” investigates how migration functions as a somatic condition, forcing racialized and queer migrant bodies in Europe to perform joy as a form of labor.
