Laura Margarita & Diego Hernández A. (Chile)

The actor Laura Margarita, born in Chile, currently lives and works in Mexico City. She has participated as an actor, director, and producer in a wide range of performing arts productions. Since 2012, she has worked in the management and coordination of performing arts festivals and artist residencies, and has collaborated with cultural institutions in Chile and México.
She studied Meisner technique at EICTV in Cuba and specialized in sensory theater with Italian actress Gabriella Salvatierra. She holds a master’s degree in Art History from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
As a director, she has collaborated with various companies, focusing on the exploration of different theatrical languages. Her creative work is based on researching the relationship between the stage apparatus and the audience. This research has been developed through productions staged in unconventional spaces and through the exploration of diverse acting and stage languages.
She is currently conducting independent research on themes of memory and archival practices in the performing arts and is a member of the Permanent Seminar on Scenic and Performative Studies (SPEEP) within the Graduate Program in Art History at UNAM. She is a founding member of Núcleo de Creación Armada, with whom she develops various theater projects in Chile, Mexico, Italy, and Spain.

Diego Hernández A. is a Chilean director, playwright, and producer. He trained as an actor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, later specializing in scenic directing at the University of Chile, and completing an MA in Scrittura e Produzione dello Spettacolo at La Sapienza University of Rome. He is a co-founder of Núcleo de Creación Armada and his research interests intersect with memory and contemporary performance.
His work explores contemporary dramaturgies through more than twelve professional productions, which have been presented at festivals such as Santiago a Mil, Santiago Off, and ARTevere Scorre, and have circulated through artistic residencies and international platforms across Europe. His writing has also been featured internationally, including an invitation to present “Apnoea” at the Coronet Theatre / RADA in London (2025).

After relocating to Italy, he expanded his practice within the European scene, but continues to develop across international contexts, such as with “Indio de mierda” in Madrid and “Nuevo mundo”, which will premiere at the ClasicOFF Festival in July 2026.
